For my major project in foundation I documented the relationship and differences between man-made and natural materials, shapes, and pattern. After a long process of developing in my sketchbook I applied my patterns and drawings onto cloth, creating overlapping squares that reflect manmade, with hints of grass to bring an element of nature. The contrast between the two inspired me to work with a bright colour palette as seen in pictures. For my final piece, I created a collection of samples by heat transfer and screen printing onto synthetic fabrics, which was exhibited at Carmarthen School of Art.
